“Drake-apedia” – It’s not just a funny sounding word. Drakeapedia is a student-created wiki highlighting Drake’s rich history. Here you will find entries about campus buildings, notable faculty and alumni, various organizations and time-honored traditions. First developed as an FYS (first-year seminar) course in the fall of 2010, “Drakeapedia: Building a Living Archive,” this seminar was designed for students to learn more about Drake’s heritage by discovering resources in Cowles Library’s Special Collections, creating content using wiki technology, and capturing history by conducting oral histories.
